JustPark
JustPark is the leading app helping people park across the UK and Ireland. I spent six months as a freelance lead designer, making parking faster and easier for drivers.
A key project I led was the redesign of JustPark’s home screen on the app. Too many entry points to the reservation flow caused drivers to get lost.
Clear entry points
We solved the problem of users getting lost by adding two prominent buttons at the top and making the two possible routes the main focus.
Personalisation
A significant revenue boost came from strong personalisation. Recently booked items are displayed clearly and accessibly, obvious and easy to find.
This project kickstarted Lotus, a design system designed to streamline design across platforms and bring consistency to JustPark’s product suite.
Tokenisation as a guide
Every shade, radius, and variable was tokenised by use and purpose, then replicated and named in the code.
Easy and customisable components
We kept Lotus lean by using boolean functionalities in Figma, making each component easy to configure: powerful yet compact.
During my time at JustPark, I worked on several projects, designing, testing, and shipping experiences across the full product suite, helping drivers along the way.
Cleaning up sold out badges
A clearer map means higher conversion rates. Cluttered areas with too many listings were simplified by collapsing and expanding sold-out badges.

Boosting filter discoverability
Filters were underused. We solved this problem by placing the most relevant ones directly over the map, making them more accessible and useful.

Enabling adjustable pricing
Users were canceling when they saw more profitable days. We designed an experience that let them adjust prices for specific days or ranges.

Revenue increase on peak days
improving Authentication at checkout
New or unlogged users were dropping off at checkout. We simplified the options and prioritised social authentication with clear button hierarchy.

I left JustPark with a redesigned home screen, a robust design system, and an improved checkout experience. As of 2025, they’re performing stronger than ever.
